 Dannion and Kathryn Brinkley are writers, authors, spiritual teachers and intuitives who have both survived near-death experiences.
Dannion ‘s name became a household word when his first, of two, New York Times best selling books (Saved by the Light and At Peace in the Light), was published by Harper Collins, Inc. in 1994. Subsequently, the FOX Network quickly produced the highly acclaimed made-for-television movie depicting Dannion's story of being struck by lightning, and his 28 minute death experience in Heaven. The movie, also entitled, Saved by the Light aired in 1995 and became one of the highest rated TV movies in television history.
As Dannion's first bestseller was being published, Kathryn was leaving her own footprint in the literary world as the author of Jewels for the Soul: Spiritual Reflections for the Heart and Soul. At the same time, she was a cutting edge journalist with the very popular column, "Conversations with Kathryn" where she dedicated her interviews with the world's leaders in global/spiritual consciousness. Later Kathryn produced a radio show designed around those highly acclaimed interviews. It was during that time that she conducted a telephone interview with Dannion. They now refer to that interview as their “date with destiny” as it led to their marriage a few years later
Today, this devoted couple works ceaselessly to champion the virtues of ethical consciousness in daily life through their written articles, live lectures and workshops, radio and television appearances as well as their tours to sacred sites around the world. Together, Dannion and Kathryn are undaunted in their commitment to creating a higher awareness for the support and acceptance of the circle of life, including the celebration of transition from this world to the next. Through their non-profit organization, The Twilight Brigade, (founded by Dannion in 1997) over 5,000 volunteers have been trained to be at the bedside of our nation's dying veterans. They do this invaluable work because they believe, “no one need die alone”. Dannion and Kathryn are committed to the mission of empowering spiritual perspectives as the cornerstone for living an extraordinary life.
